A two way radios or walkie talkie’ is a device which transmits and receives voice signal through the air. Sort of telephone, however they did not require a central network and can be used anywhere as long as with the radius range selected.
Family Radio Service (FRS) and General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) are the most commons regular consumers. The differences between FRS and GMPS are 8 through 14 and 15 through 22 channel respectively. Some two way radios operate on AA or AAA batteries and many of devices come with rechargeable battery pack and desktop charges.
FRS need not to be registered with the department’s concerned for the licenses, however GMRS are compulsory before purchasing the devices. FRS channel can only be broadcasted with the maximum range of 1.6 KM (1 mile) by using only 0.50watt of power, while GMRS channel u can get the maximum output range of power.
These channel are open and public can hear your communication if they using the same channel u are using. During the peak hours especially, 22 channel aren’t enough to provide privacy and may interrupted your communication. If u are too concern about confidential, Mid Range radios and up also provide “Privacy Codes” which break up a single channel into anywhere between 38 and 121 sub-channel and some radios offer over 1,000 individual channel.
The major brand of two way radios includes Motorola, Cobra, Midland and Kenwood. Instead of functioning’s, these manufactures in all difference are ranges of output power, distance coverage, features and accessories as well. Many two way radios has been installed the NOAA weather channels.
Therefore, two way radios is another communication device who been needed by peoples either by business purposes or vacation or hunters or just for a family use.
